"A striking script with a powerful concept, deft prose, and a chilling thematic resonance. The story sings along with whip-smart verve, and the evocative writing style creates a layered world. The script is atmospheric and dripping with a feeling of abstract dread. Additionally, you touch upon some wrenchingly emotional events in a way that never comes off as exploitative. It's clear that you're a writer of sizeable talent, as these pages are jam-packed with affecting, powerful imagery which leaves a lasting impression. I really like the dream sequences quite a bit. They're surreal, ominous and quite off putting in all the right ways. The shift from the flood into this incredible, surreal phantasmagoric sequence might be one of the most creative set pieces I've read in a number of months. The characters also "pop" off the page in the way of colour, specificity, and earnest humanity. The theme is tightly coherent, as does the plot progression. I'm firm in my belief that this project combines a heightened, imaginative concept with some deftly crafted intrigue and impressive visuals. The narrative took several unexpected twists and turns, avoiding well-worn genre cliches. This is a strong genre piece well on its way towards becoming a chilling, cerebral horror with a psychologically probing edge".
Script Reader Pro
"Reading it is a truly memorable and evocative experience. The opening sequence really grabs attention. There are many options for what could be happening in this opening scene, which is a great way to start the story. There are so many things in this script that are written in a way that keeps us guessing. Because of that, the ending is shocking. The concept is thought-provoking. This is also something we haven't seen explored before. We've seen many thrillers, movies, and TV shows that follow a descent into madness. This one is different because of the subject matter, the themes involved, and the way the script is structured to really play with its audience and keep them trying to get one step ahead of what the writer is trying to do. Structurally, this screenplay bends many expectations that the industry and the audience have. Screenplays like these are tricky to write well. The page work within this script is fantastic. The script has a great tone to it. It is a puzzling mixture of mystery, suspense, and darkness. The voice comes through in an engaging, unique, and original way".

"A captivating fantasy thriller filled with magic and intrigue. The writer's grim portrayal of this bleak landscape leaves a powerful impression. The thing that stands out from the start is how the protagonist, subverts the archetype of the typical female heroines. She seems content to live in her cloistered world of adopted family. Yet, circumstances far beyond her control thrust her into a world much bigger, and more dangerous, than she could ever imagine. As a result, she becomes the lens that the audience views this world in, and as it opens up for her so too does it for the reader, creating a natural progression into the complexities of the familiar yet distant world the writer builds in this script. SHADOWODD is a big story, but the heroine's world is initially small, allowing the audience an effective entry point into this universe. The world building feels resolutely solid while the writer sells the scale of the setting while still making it feel real and lived-in".

"You are a terrific writer. That fact will be clear to anyone who reads it. I love your voice (there are so many sparkling phrases and descriptions throughout) and you've created an amazing world within the story. The writing itself is off the charts - your talent is obvious, both as a writer and a storyteller. I can't stress that enough".

"Immersive and full of visual spectacle . A throwback to the glory days of movies like The NeverEnding Story and Willow. A film that rises to the occasion of delivering hard-hitting plot whilst tapping into cinematic legacies from family film directors such as Steven Spielberg or Tim Burton. Peel-McGregor shows herself to be a noteworthy writer and director, capable of grappling with genre mutations and high standard storytelling"
UK Film Review
"The film tackles themes of environmentalism in a profoundly unique way. To say we're expecting great things from Agnes Peel-McGregor would be an understatement. Clearly a serious force of unbridled talent, we suggest this is only the beginning of an exciting career".
